Following a successful year for Blackpink and as a solo act, it seems that Jennie is gearing up for her future individual activities.
2023 was a big year for Jennie, both with her group Blackpink and as a solo artist. Last year, Blackpink was booked and busy with their world tour. The group also headlined Coachella as the first Korean act to do so.
The K-pop idol then made her acting debut under the stage name Jennie Ruby Jane. She played Dyanne in the HBO television series The Idol. Jennie also collaborated with her co-stars the Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp on the song “One of the Girls” for the series.

As the Born Pink World Tour wrapped up, Jennie’s “You & Me” was released as a special single. According to Billboard, the song debuted at number seven on the Global 200 chart and topped the Global Excl. U.S. Chart.
In December, Blackpink confirmed that they would be renewing their group contract with YG Entertainment. However, their individual deals were still up for discussion.
A Brand New Endeavor
Jennie announced on December 24 that she had already set up her own label, Odd Atelier, in November.
“This year was filled with many accomplishments, and I’m so thankful for all the love I’ve received,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
“I’m also excited about what’s to come, as I start my solo journey in 2024 with a company that I have established called OA. Please show lots of love for my new start with OA and of course, Blackpink. Thank you.”
The label’s new Instagram account was also tagged in the post. Forbes reported that it gained “a half million followers in mere hours.”
Two of the label’s first posts include the caption “OA, which stands for ODD ATELIER, is a space that aims to create new things that attract attention in a different way from what is usual or expected. It is a label founded by artist JENNIE in November 2023.”
With solo music likely on the way, a blossoming acting career, and endorsement deals with brands like Chanel and Calvin Klein, a label focused entirely on Jennie is certainly a step towards an even brighter future for the Korean star.
