Design and furniture enthusiasts alike gathered at Studio Dimension in BGC where the Republic of Fritz Hansen presented the 6th Asia Pacific exhibition of the iconic 7TM designed chair by Arne Jacobsen called Series 7 Project Manila. Six renowned architects and designers presented a unique local homage to the iconic chair. Arch. Carlo Calma, Arch. Ed Calma, Arch. Gil Coscolluela, Arch. Bong Recio, Dean Joey Yupangco and Leandro V. Locsin Partners were given free hand to interpret their unique vision in updating the chair to their own aesthetic and explained their inspiration behind their respective designs, presenting different perspectives on the Series 7 Chair. Fritz Hansen’s representative Dario Reicherl along with Daphne Oseña Paez gave a walk through about the Series 7 history where guests enjoyed a close up look of the chairs while sipping champagne and partaking hors d’oeuvres prepared by Chef Florabel Co Yatco.
