Apart from being spotted on international actors—from Li Meng to Adéle Exarchopoulos to Sveva Alviti—Bulgari supported a gala organized by the non-profit Naked Heart France during the Cannes Film Festival.

Hosted at La Guérite by Naked Heart France head of fundraising Alisa Volskaya, the event saw the participation of a range of international guests, including Bvlgari brand ambassadors Jon Kortajarena, Solange Smith, Anna Cleveland, Alejandro Spietzer, and Nieves Alvarez as well as a special live performance by Darren Criss.

Inclusive future

Naked Heart France is a children’s charity founded by Natalia Vodianova in 2014. The work done by Vodianova and Naked Heart France has benefitted hundreds of families raising children with special needs in Russia.

“All of us here at the Naked Heart Foundation believe in a totally inclusive future,” Vodionova says. “Our vision is now shared by both public and corporate sectors alike and together we are on a journey to build a world in which every single person will be appreciated for who they are.”

This ideal, Vodionova explains, is one “where everyone has the right to a good education; has the opportunity to find meaningful work in order to support themselves in life; and is able to enjoy their leisure time and have a healthy social existence—regardless of their physical or intellectual needs.”

“The art of giving back is subtle,” adds Volskaya, “but tremendously empowering. It is a rare skill that is as important for society as it is for one’s own personal happiness.”

This year, Volskaya continues, they wanted to address a younger generation, the ones who will define the current and future agenda. “Of course, philanthropy has no age. But the ‘younger’ it is, the more secure our future becomes,” she says.

Significant donation

During the charity gala, an auction was held to raise funds for the non-profit organization. Naked Heart France is currently focused on creating an open society where children with special needs are included, integrated, and supported. It wants to promote the need for each child to have a loving family that helps them develop their intellectual, social, physical, and emotional capacities.

For the occasion, Bvlgari decided to contribute to the charity auction with a significant donation.

In particular, the Roman jeweler offered a luxury experience at its high-end Bvlgari Resort Bali. The voucher includes a four-night stay for two people at one of the resort’s Ocean Cliff Villas overlooking the Indian Ocean, as well as exclusive lunches, dinners and spa treatments at the hotel’s five-starred facilities.

In addition, Bulgari also debuted a necklace at the event. Part of the B.Zero1 line, the unique creation retails at 58,000 euros, and is crafted from white gold and is enriched with diamond pave sets.

Long partnership

During the year, Bulgari already supported Naked Heart Foundation in different occasions. At the beginning of the year, the Roman jeweler made a donation to the charity institution and in April it sponsored a gala in Moscow.

“Generosity is one of the core values of our company that we share with our friend Natalia Vodianova and her Naked Heart Foundation,” says Bulgari chief executive officer Jean-Christophe Babin.

The Italian luxury brand is happy and proud “to be at the side of a charity that is so committed to the creation of life opportunities for children with special needs,” he says. “Kids are our future and Bvlgari, with Naked Heart Foundation, as well as with our longtime partner Save the Children, is at the forefront in protecting and supporting them.”
