At 34 years old, Rihanna is America’s youngest self-made billionaire. With a net worth of $1.4 billion, the Barbados-born singer dethrones Kylie Jenner, the previous title holder, dubbed by Forbes. (However, social media short-lived Jenner’s reign given the backlash Forbes received from describing her as “self-made”).
While most of the world’s wealthiest women are heiresses, Rihanna amassed her fortune from a successful music career and inclusive company, Fenty, which has beauty, skin, and lingerie segments.

Currently, Rihanna co-owns Fenty with luxury conglomerate LVMH, which acquired 50 percent of the brand in 2017. According to Forbes, the lingerie line Savage x Fenty earned over $550 million in sales in 2020 alone.
However, the “Diamonds” singer is still getting used to the fruits of her labor. “It’s tricky because it’s hard to even accept that’s where you’re at because I know where I’ve come from,” she told The New York Times when she officially became a billionaire last year.
