4 Of The World's Priciest Beauty Treatments

These treatments boast state of the art technology and premium resources to rejuvenate and beautify—but they come at no small price, costing $1,900 to $1.4 million each.

Not all beauty treatments are equal, and many wealthy individuals will spare no expense to ensure they get the best of the best. Though one doesn’t need to spend thousands of dollars to stay healthy and beautiful, certain treatments are pricier than the rest. This is often because they pair advanced procedures with premium tools and resources.

For the curious, below are four peculiar, lavish, and expensive beauty treatments that celebrities like Mila Kunis, Kim Kardashian, and Serena Williams swear by:

White Diamond Manicure

When someone avails of a white diamond manicure, they’re not expecting the average manicure session—or a regular nail polish, either. Now it’s more than possible to have sparkling diamonds on one’s fingernails, as Azature’s white diamond polish is, indeed, composed of the real gems.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, TV star and singer Kelly Osbourne showed off her glittering nails in 2014, revealing that she paid $1.4 million for it. Given the high value of such a polish, only a select few celebrity manicurists can apply it, as per Elle India. It’s quite difficult to top this, and once someone tries the shiny manicure, regular nail polish will probably look pretty dull.

Diamond and Ruby Facial

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend, yes, but what about rubies? When science combines them, the two precious gems apparently make for an effective facial treatment. Just ask actress Mila Kunis, whose impeccable complexion may have something to do with her $8,900 HD Diamond and Ruby Peel.

As per Harper’s Bazaar, Kunis enjoys getting the facial from Scott Vincent-Borba of BORBA. During treatment, experts use crushed diamonds and rubies to exfoliate a client’s face.

According to Forbes, certain medical professionals say these jewels have antioxidant properties for the skin. Then, a paraffin silk fiber facial caps off the rigorous treatment, as per The Daily Mail. According to Borba himself, Kunis also sucks on an ice cube to reduce puffiness on the skin—without any additional cost, of course.

Evian Bath

A sip of Evian is a great way to cleanse the body, but how about a dip in the famous spring water? Well, star tennis player Serena Williams has praised “The Evian Experience,” the world’s most expensive bath, stating she could “feel the difference” from the moment she stepped in, as per Yahoo! Life

The hefty price tag of $6,300 is likely because the luxurious bath is only available at the Hotel Victor in Miami. So what exactly does this lavish soak come with? Each bath is made up of  1,000 liters of limited-edition, Christian Lacroix-designed Evian water, according to Harper’s Bazaar and The Luxe Insider

The clear water is supposed to rejuvenate and relax the body in a way tap water can’t. If it’s good enough for the body of a famous athlete like Williams, it’s probably worth its weight in gold.

Vampire Facial

No vampires are involved in the “Vampire Facial” that socialite and personality Kim Kardashian popularized, but as the name suggests, there’s quite a lot of blood involved. According to The Luxe Insider, people also call the treatment a “Dermapin Facial,” as it requires the drawing of blood from the body for skin renewal.

Medical experts then separate the blood platelets and re-inject blood back into the skin, as per Harper’s Bazaar. Given the delicate nature of such a treatment, only qualified practitioners can execute it. Each treatment costs around $1,900, making it quite an investment.

It’s certainly not for the squeamish, but many celebrities—including Kardashian—attest that it makes them look a lot younger. This ascribes a whole new meaning to the word “vampire,” as those who can afford the facial gain access to some form of physical immortality.
