Your Local is back for round two with a pop-up at The Balmori Suites featuring a new bistronomy-style menu that highlights Filipino ingredients and techniques.
Your Local is a contemporary Asian restaurant renowned for its innovative culinary creations that seamlessly blend Asian flavors with global influences.They return to The Balmori Chef’s Table presents a culinary celebration of contemporary Asian flavors. Following the success of the first pop-up in November, Your Local is thrilled to announce its second pop-up from May 18 to June 16, 2024.
Chef Pat Go and his team crafted a gastronomic journey with a brand new exclusive bistronomy-style menu, a preview of Your Local’s new offers. With a focus on Asian flavors accentuated by Filipino ingredients and cooking techniques, Chef Pat shares “This time I wanted to incorporate separate viands and then they can choose their own rice. It’s like an Asian bistro menu.”
Diners can anticipate an array of delectable small plates to shareable mains and of course unique desserts. The second pop-up will feature a Balmori-exclusive menu of 16 dishes, including four Your Local (Legazpi Village) classics such as Chili Crab Somen, Torched Salmon Donburi, Chili Crab Bun, and the Choco na Gatas.
Chef Pat says “We want to introduce a lot of small plates and sharing plates. It’s more of a small plate interpretation of comfort food dishes. We wanted the menu to be very approachable and people could easily relate to it.”
Your Local has partnered with Some Love, importers of natural wines, to feature a selection of wines perfectly suited to enhance the dining experience.
Chef Pat Go adds “Most of the items have different Filipino ingredients or techniques. There’s a lot of Bacolod ingredients as well since my family’s from Bacolod. With this one, I added a few touches of Filipino ingredients and Filipino food memories from my travels. Whenever we eat out, these are the things that inspire us.”
Reservations are now open with hourly seatings for lunch and dinner. Lunch is from 11am to 2pm, and dinner is from 6pm to 10pm. There will also be afternoon tea with a separate menu of drinks and pastries from 2pm to 5pm.
