Upon entering the steps of Pinot Manila, ladies and gentlemen were greeted with a beautiful set up in shades of blue. Guests walked in donning on similar hues, the color of RSVP Lifestyle Asia’s midday affair this August. Lively conversations echoed in the private room as cover personality Charmaine Lagman with husband Mike and daughter Anya graced the event. It was a wonderful lunch celebrating beauty, love, and healthy, meaningful life.
The beautiful moments
In his opening speech, Lifestyle Asia’s Editor-in-Chief Dong Ronquillo extended his gratitude to the guests for joining the celebration. He shared how it was a pleasure to work with Charmaine for the August 2019 edition of the magazine. Dong talked about how Charmaine is the best woman to be on the cover as she is beautiful inside and out. She exudes grace, strength, and beauty in all her roles, be it as a mother, a wife, or a leader. In her speech, Charmaine thanked the LA team for the opportunity to share her stories and journey as a mother and wife. She considers the path she is taking with her family as an artwork and a form of beauty.
The event styling of Randy Lazaro made the celebration a unique and elegant affair. Guests sat around the beautiful tablescape of Casa Luxia covered in deep blue fabrics. To add accents, there are clear candelabras and glasses holding miniature candles. In-between were pristine floral arrangements, the yellow tulips add a warm contrast against the rest of the white flowers. The set up may be simple yet it certainly made a cheerful ambiance as Pinot Manila served its 5-course meal.
A delightful feast
Lunch started with a warm Calamari Salad and Sea Urchin Minestrone. The highlights were the Grilled Salmon and French Cheese Tartin. A sweet treat served was the Tart au Chocolate. The premium bottles of Moet Chandon and Cloudy Bay complemented the wonderful flavors of each course.
The lovely afternoon of this month’s RSVP Lifestyle Asia highlighted the beautiful and meaningful life of the guests. Charmaine, and the rest of society featured like Dr. Aivee Teo, are certainly figures we can learn from in finding and radiating beauty and love for the self and others.
