A Summer Style Aperitivo Stretches Into The Night

By

Lifestyle Asia marked the launch of its March 2026 Summer Style issue with a close-knit gathering of multi-hyphenated women, brought together over delicious aperitivo and memorable conversations.

Nothing really signals summer the way a good sunset does. Pair it with aperitivo (a pre-dinner drink, as customary in its native Italy), delicious food, and conversations with depth, and you’ve got an evening worth savoring. All these things came together during Lifestyle Asia’s celebration that marked the launch of the brand’s first print magazine of 2026: the Summer Style issue, featuring artist, illustrator, and entrepreneur Martina Lebron.

With March being Women’s Month, it felt especially fitting that the gathering brought together a close-knit circle of members of the Lifestyle Asia community and friends of Martina’s, all women making their mark across their respective fields, from business owners to creatives. Everyone came dressed in their best summer fits, sporting eye-catching tropical hues, floral prints, and sunny pastels that matched the vibe perfectly.

Tropical Comforts, Full Blooms

The venue set the tone for the rest of the evening: a bright orange sun dipping into a sea of illuminated clouds, all visible from its spacious penthouse venue. Swathes of pink light bathed the space’s white walls before slowly dimming, leaving a trace of warm glow behind as guests began to settle in.

Disco hits hummed from large speakers; bursts of lush florals styled by lifestyle concept store Lanai were scattered around the room; and woven, rounded furniture from W/17 helped transform the space into an elegantly understated yet lush summer haven.

Guests gathered in small groups, speaking with one another—for some, it was a gathering of old friends, while others introduced themselves for the first time. Either way, the room began to buzz with the murmur of conversation, smiles wide throughout the mingling.

An Easy-Going Aperitivo Spread

No event is complete without delicious bites, and the evening’s selection—prepared by catering group Sunday Street Co. (yet another group of women blazing a trail in their industry)—was a playful, tantalizing blend of contrasting flavors that kept the taste buds engaged as guests sipped on their drinks. Among the drinks were refreshing bottles of bubbly from (Super)Natural Wine: “Jean-François Ganevat, La Combe Rotalier Crémant du Jura.” Chilled in generous buckets of ice and served with gusto by Sunday Street Co.’s attentive team of waiters, the sparkling pours kept the good times rolling.

There’s a certain charm to Sunday Street Co.’s bites, thanks to how thoughtfully they’re designed for easy eating as guests wandered, mingled, and talked throughout the evening. Caviar, of course, is what transformed the menu into a playfully indulgent symphony of salty-sweet, salty-savory, and everything in between. For this, Sunday Street Co. collaborated with premium, sustainable caviar brand Nomad Caviar, featuring its best-selling Kaluga Hybrid Caviar.

The delicacy lent a pleasantly briny, buttery, nutty note to each bite, an edge of excitement that added a whole new dimension to the spread. Bites like the Sunday chicken nuggets, prawn & crab rolls, anchovy cream capellini, and chocolate mousse tartlets were all graced with generous dollops of the roe, making for what many of the guests fondly called “the girl dinner.” And just to cap it all off on the sweetest note, Sunday Street Co. surprised guests with a tray full of their unforgettably creamy tiramisu.

A Toast To Growth, Sunny Days, And The Good Life

Kerry Tinga—Chief of Editorial Content at Lifestyle Asia—anchored the casual, relaxing celebration with a speech recapping the brand’s refresh, one centered on the act of discovering (and rediscovering) what “the good life” truly is, and what that definition means to its community.

“I’m very proud of our first print issue of the year featuring Martina Lebron,” shared Kerry. “If you flip through the pages, one of the features is actually an illustrated story by Martina. A lot of people in the office teased me for making our cover girl work, but I think it’s just a great example of why this generation deserves a space. It’s because you’re doing interesting things that are really beautiful.”

Kerry also called Martina on stage to deliver a few words. “First, I just want to say thank you so much for the opportunity,” expresses the cover star. “I’m really excited about the future of not just our generation, but the Philippines. How we’re able to grow, be more playful and more proud of ourselves.

As guests toasted to the moment and offered their applause, the evening was far from over. They lingered, continuing to savor each other’s company well into the night. At Lifestyle Asia’s event, summer became a feeling rather than simply a season: a kind of warmth experienced in the presence of those who understand that the good life isn’t an abstract idea, but people, moments, nourishment, and spaces that gather life’s best parts into one place.
