Team Italy found a taste of home at A Mano, where they celebrated their FIVB victory with their favorite Italian classics.
Since opening its doors in 2019, A Mano has been celebrated for its high-quality, handmade Italian cuisine. In early September of this year, it earned a spot in the prestigious 50 Top Pizza Awards, placing 49th in the global rankings—a major win for the Filipino dining scene. Just a few weeks later, the restaurant shared in another Italian triumph, welcoming Team Italy to the BGC branch on September 29, after they were crowned champions at the latest Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) World Championship held in Manila, where they defeated Bulgaria in the final.

A Mano Favorites For The Champs
The celebratory meal wasn’t the team’s first time dining at A Mano. They were frequently spotted there throughout the tournament, enjoying hearty spreads of Italian cuisine that reminded them of home. Their victory feast was no different, featuring the fresh, faithful Italian dishes that A Mano is famous for, with restaurant favorites such as the Beef Carpaccio, Focaccia di Recco, Gnocco Fritto, Fonduta, and Polpette on the table.
And who could forget the pizza? Praised by the team as “as authentic as in Italy,” they enjoyed oven-fresh varieties such as the Margherita, Burrata Culatello, Carbonara, Chorizo, Gamberi Aglio, and Bianco. These were paired with Italian pasta classics, including Carbonara, Cacio e Pepe, Vongole, and Trofie al Pesto. To end on a sweet note, they indulged in Classic Tiramisu, Torta di Nutella, and A Mano’s signature Burrata Soft Serve. This was a feast worthy of champions, and the perfect way to refuel both body and spirit after their victory on (and off) the court.

“On behalf of everyone at A Mano, we congratulate the Italian Men’s Volleyball Team on winning the FIVB World Championship,” shared Amado Forés, founder and owner of A Mano, in a statement. “It was an honor to host the team and provide them with a taste of home here in Manila. We will continue to uphold that trust with fresh ingredients, faithful techniques, and warm hospitality.”
