The Lost Weekend Ends With Connection And Calm

By

A journey of stillness and self-reflection, The Lost Weekend celebrated how mindfulness, gratitude, and community shape a more meaningful version of “the good life.”

As the sun’s gentle warmth greeted the morning, ushering in a brand-new day, The Lost Weekend, Lifestyle Asia’s three-day wellness retreat, drew to a meaningful close—a culmination of the publication’s mission to redefine and reintroduce what “the good life” truly means. Day 1 focused on Nourishment; Day 2 centered on Movement; and Day 3 aimed to tie everything together, reaching both outward and inward under the unifying theme of “Connect.”

Although it was the final day, the goal remained clear: to encourage guests to share meaningful moments and reconnect with a sense of wholeness. Lifestyle Asia deepened this experience by nurturing each guest’s connection with both their inner self and the people around them, fostering a sense of community that begins with personal enrichment and radiates outward.

Connecting With Thyself

The day began with a meal prep class led by Kien and Jessa of Nawa Wellness, where guests learned how to make watermelon basil and detox cucumber juices—a gentle reminder that nourishing the body is the first step toward reconnecting with oneself.

After the quick class, guests headed to Dalisay Dining to enjoy a specially prepared brunch. It was a feast, to say the least, but a carefully-crafted and thoughtful one. Chef Dos invited everyone to indulge in a Filipino-style boodle fight spread, complete with all the classic favorites like liempo, shrimp, and squid, but also some refreshingly unique additions like Wagyu cubes. Finishing it off were stunning watermelon bowls containing piles of fresh fruits. It was a fittingly rewarding meal to close the three-day wellness journey.

But before everyone indulged in a hearty Filipino brunch of rice and protein, Lifestyle Asia Chief of Editorial Content, Kerry Tinga, delivered her closing remarks, thanking everyone who joined her on this journey, gracefully concluding the retreat, and leading into the gratitude circle.

“At Lifestyle Asia, we have been exploring what the good life is, and sometimes that’s as simple as appreciating life itself,” Kerry shared, reiterating the goal of the legacy brand. “All of you know me, and this is definitely out of my comfort zone, but life starts just outside of those comfort zones.”

She added: “This has been a retreat to slow down and appreciate the small things: how we breathe, how we move, the flavors we consume, how we connect with each other and with nature.”

Reconnection Through Reflection

During the boodle fight, guests formed a gratitude circle, sharing their key takeaways and favorite moments from the retreat.

“I think The Lost Weekend was a chance to learn to take a step back. It’s difficult to eject from work, but I learned to be okay with relaxing and recharging, so I can be better when I go back to work,” said Bianca Jimenez

Ella Pangilinan reflected on how The Lost Weekend helped her slow down. “It’s so nice to let go of my usual way of doing things. We often forget to pause during the week, so it’s a really nice experience,” she expressed.

Moreover, Anna Bautista mentioned that being in a place like Nawa Wellness helped her find solace in quiet times. “I realized that sometimes you need rest, and we are in a beautiful place, with so many things to be grateful for, even the sunrise. It’s just so lovely that we have something like this in the Philippines.”

“I hope that you all go home a bit more appreciative of this one beautiful life we get to live,” shared Kerry in her closing remarks.

As guests said their final goodbyes, they were surrounded by the echoes of a trip that nourished the body, calmed the mind, and rekindled the spirit. The Lost Weekend didn’t so much conclude as it invited guests to write their own stories of connection, carrying the lessons of the retreat with them. The air was filled with laughter, gratitude, and quiet reflection—testaments to a life savored long after the weekend ended, and reminders that the good life can be found both within and in the simple pleasure of shared company.
