Farewell to Thomas Kingston
In 2019, Kingston joined Britain’s most famous family by marrying Lady Gabriella in a lavish ceremony at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
Lady Gabriella, who is 56th in line to the British throne and the daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, remembered her “beloved husband” in a family statement.
She described him as “an exceptional man who brightened the lives of everyone around him.” She also expressed that his passing has deeply saddened the entire family, as per The Independent.
Heartbreak in the Palace
According to People, a palace spokesperson confirmed that King Charles and Queen Camilla were informed of Kingston’s death.

“The King and The Queen have been informed of Thomas’s death and join Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and all those who knew him in mourning a beloved family member. Their Majesties, especially, extend their heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Gabriella and the entire Kingston family,” the palace spokesperson stated.
Kingston passed away in Gloucestershire on Sunday, with emergency services responding to the scene shortly after 6 p.m.
While the cause of death remains unknown, authorities have ruled out any suspicious circumstances or third-party involvement.
A Sad Goodbye
Lady Gabriella, who is the King’s second cousin, does not hold a formal role within the royal family.
Earlier on Tuesday, Lady Gabriella’s parents, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, attended a memorial service for the late King Constantine II of Greece. Other members of the British royal family were also present.
As reported by ABC 7, Constantine, who passed away in January last year, was Lady Gabriella’s godfather, according to the UK’s PA Media news agency.
