Paolo Dino and Janzen Entote share how they went from friends to fiancés, why they chose a castle as a wedding venue, and what it felt like tying the knot under the Tuscan sun.
The Renaissance period emphasized realism, classicism, and the human condition, with themes of love, romance, and beauty becoming central to art and literature. This era celebrated both emotional depth and aesthetic magnificence, which is evident in the Renaissance architecture that evolved toward elegance and grandeur. It’s this rich artistic heritage that makes Tuscany—the cradle of Renaissance art and architecture—such a perfect backdrop for romance. When Paolo Dino and Janzen Entote decided to celebrate their love story, the timeless beauty of a Tuscan castle provided exactly the kind of setting where Renaissance ideals of beauty and harmony could frame their special day.

From Friends To Fiancé
All love stories have beginnings. Paolo and Janzen’s lifelong covenant with one another began platonically. “We had known each other since 2012—we met very briefly through friends. Nothing ever really happened until we reconnected in 2018,” Janzen shared. “It turned out that our first date would be our last because we’ve been inseparable ever since. I think we felt compelled to love each other the moment we met—and there truly is no worldly way to explain it.”

During their relationship, the couple repeatedly asked themselves, “How lucky are we if it all works out?” When two people are truly destined to be together, life will always find a way to bring them together. “And here we are now—about seven and a half years later, married. It’s wild.”

True to Paolo and Janzen’s fun-loving personalities, the proposal was a masterclass in romance and adventure. It began as a trip to Japan with their respective brothers—who conveniently didn’t show up for the excursion. On the snowy slopes of Niseko, Paolo planned the perfect proposal. Janzen describes it as magical: just her, Paolo, and a tripod, riding a snowmobile up the ice-covered mountain.

“For the rest of our lives, I hope I’m enough,” Paolo said in that quiet moment, a sentiment that has stayed with Janzen ever since. “As I said I do, I cried a lot.”
The snowy mountains where they first learned to ski, shared Crosta Pizza, and toasted with drinks now hold the magic of their engagement. It was a snow globe moment for them.
Under The Tuscan Sun
Paolo and Janzen officially sealed their love story under the beautiful Tuscan sun. Known as the birthplace of some of the most iconic Renaissance art and architecture, Tuscany perfectly reflects the couple’s creativity and romance.
When planning their wedding, they shared that most of their suppliers were found through online research and virtual consultations. They even booked their venue long before ever setting foot on Tuscan soil. “There were only two tentative dates available in 2025, and as the first to inquire when one of those dates opened up in June, we were lucky enough to snag it,” the bride shares.

Tucked away in the middle of nowhere, nestled among the Tuscan hills, the couple found their venue: a hidden gem called Castello di Celsa, a medieval castle that dates back to the 12th century. “From the moment we were finally able to visit the venue, it just felt right—like a true reflection of who we are and what we wanted our wedding to look like,” Janzen adds.

The castle provided a naturally stunning backdrop for the couple’s special day. Everything was held on-site: the ceremony took place in the garden, cocktails were served by the barn, dinner unfolded on the lawn, and the afterparty lit up the courtyard. And at the end of the day, it was still a castle—who wouldn’t want to get married in one?
Janzen and Paolo’s Dream Team
“There was really no one else we could’ve dreamed to work with,” Janzen shares about Marta Petrioli of Flowers Living, who designed and provided the lush floral decorations for the wedding. “Her art is so evident in everything she does. She was always the one.”
For catering, it was love at first bite. “Alessandro of Roland’s Catering literally took the cake,” she laughs. “We had other tastings planned, but after visiting their showroom, we just knew. Everything—from the food to the linens, even the waiters’ uniforms—was such a joy to plan. Arianna made it all so smooth.”

The flow of the day came down to the expert planning of Stanz Catalan and Francesca Resciniti, who made everything unfold exactly how they couple imagined. Kaleydo Entertainment handled most of the entertainment, from the string quartet and DJ to arranging for the couple’s initials to be lit up on the chapel. “They do it all, and they do it so well,” says Janzen.
For visuals, Joce Boissin of Lune de Miel Studio captured the day in the most heartfelt way. “He tells love stories in a way that moves you. His passion is unmatched,” shares the bride. Adding to the full-circle moment was the return of Catic Weddings, who filmed the big day in analog and Super8, having previously worked with the couple on their prenup shoot.
Finally, the couple hired, ProudRad to round up their photography team, drawn to the studio’s unique approach to wedding storytelling. “Their photos have a vibe of their own and have always stood out to us,” Janzen says. “Their photos are art. They see color differently–in a way that’s riveting.”

Other standout suppliers include their host Eri Neeman, whose warmth really set “the vibes”; Rachel of Castello di Celsa, who ensured everything was perfect; and Monique of Lady Clementine Studio, who brought the couple’s dream invites to life. Adding to the charm were playful touches like a Mirmir photo booth, a popsicle and Prosecco cart by Brindapino, and her dress from The LOFT Bridal. Every detail felt like them.

Symbolic Pairing
One of the most unforgettable moments of the day was seeing each other for the first time at the altar. A wave of emotion hit the moment Janzen stepped onto the pebbled path. For Paolo, it was a quiet sense of knowing—that everything they had worked so hard for had led to this moment, and that Janzen walking toward him marked the beginning of their shared life ahead.
As the vows unfolded, Auntie Faith, a birder, noticed a flock of swallows circling above the couple—an omen believed to bring good fortune and fresh beginnings. Later that evening, under the glow of a rare strawberry moon, guests spoke of how the sky itself seemed to bless the celebration with love and emotional healing.
“During the ceremony, I felt present. It was finally time for what Janzen and I poured so much of ourselves into,” Paolo reminisces. “It was the first time, through our whole journey of planning the wedding up until the actual wedding day, when I could finally be present—at peace. I could sit with it, I could absorb all of it. I felt the love and support of everyone there: the flock of swallows gathering above Janzen and me to welcome our love, the Tuscan sun greeting us warmly, and of course, Janzen, the most beautiful reason for my being present.”

“Paolo and I are both Catholic,” Janzen adds. “The ceremony was actually symbolic since it was held outdoors. Our officiant, Fr. Dennis, had known Paolo and his family for more than a decade, so the moment was special for everyone. We had a very intimate church wedding in Cebu, but saved our vows for ‘the real thing’ (Italy). They were both real things. But we loved getting married so much, we did it twice.”
