Loewe x Howl’s Moving Castle

Fans of Ghibli rejoice, as Loewe collaborated with the Japan-based film studio to release a Howl’s Moving Castle collection. This isn’t their first partnership, however. Loewe also came out with a series of pieces for the studio’s Academy Award-winning film Spirited Away in 2022

Howl’s Moving Castle follows the story of Sophie Hatter, a shy girl who gets cursed by a witch, leading her to take part in a daring and magical adventure with charismatic wizard, Howl Pendragon. The film is one of Hayao Miyazaki’s best, and Loewe’s collection showcases some of its most memorable characters and moments.

Jimmy Choo x Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon

This sparkling and colorful Sailor Moon collection was Jimmy Choo’s first major collaboration of the year. Many women who were young girls in the 1990s likely grew up with the hit manga and anime series by artist Naoko Takeuchi, which features a group of schoolgirls who magically transform into powerful galactic guardians.

It was an empowering piece of media for women, and one that truly understood the growing pains of being an adolescent girl. Let’s not forget, the fashion pieces in the series were incredibly cute and chic—after all, creator Naoko Takeuchi herself is a fan of high fashion
