Acknowledging the challenge of condensing his extensive catalog into a 13-minute set, Usher reflected on his past. 

He celebrated his present and hinted at the future in an Apple Music press conference prior to the performance. “What songs do people know me for? What songs have been a celebration of my career? That was the idea,” he explained.
