Singapore reclaimed the title of the world’s best airport from Doha, with Tokyo’s Haneda securing the third spot in Skytrax’s global aviation hub list.
Singapore’s Changi Airport has once again snagged the title of the world’s best airport, reclaiming its crown from Doha airport in 2023.
According to the Straits Times, this victory marks the twelfth time Changi has received this prestigious accolade, making it a true aviation powerhouse.

According to South China Morning Post, the awards, bestowed by Skytrax, are the result of customer satisfaction surveys from globe-trotters worldwide.
Skytrax’s methodology involves polling over 550 airports, evaluating factors like food, retail options, security, terminal layout, comfort, seating, and Wi-Fi.
The surveys, representing 60 nationalities, were conducted between August 2022 and February 2023.
Changi CEO Lee Seow Hiang expressed gratitude, stating, “Changi Airport is honored to be named World’s Best Airport for the 12th time.”
What sets Changi apart is not just its efficient operations but also its knack for making travel an enjoyable experience.
As per South China Morning Post, the airport boasts high-end shopping. Free activities like a cinema and butterfly garden, and even an airside pool where travelers can take a refreshing dip.
Sky Showdown
The competition was tough, with Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, securing the second spot as per Skytrax.
Among the top 20 airports, Europe claims nine, Asia boasts eight, North America has two. Australia seals the list with one.
Notably, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Vancouver International Airport barely made the cut at numbers 18 and 20, respectively.
Changi’s success speaks volumes about its commitment to providing a seamless and delightful journey for passengers.
