Fabulous Ornaments From Dior, Hermès, and Other Luxury Brands

The Christmas Tree Goes High Fashion in 2020’s Most Coveted Holiday Pieces.

“O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, how lovely are thy branches,” goes the traditional German folk song, which was sung as a holiday carol by the middle of the 19th century. A Christmas tree’s branches may indeed be lovely, but they would look even more exquisite with any (or all!) of these resplendent ornaments from the world’s most prestigious luxury brands.

Lights In The Air: Dior’s 2020 Christmas Ornaments

For 2020, Dior’s Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri was inspired by Luminarie or, in Italian, Lumi In Aria (literally, lights in the air), the traditional Italian art of illuminating architecture using various colored lights. The intricate illustrations on these pieces resemble brilliant fireworks and are crafted in richly colored glass. Additionally, each set of four ornaments comes in a lavish box.

The esteemed French brand founded in 1888 by glassmaker and jeweler René Lalique released Poinsettia as its 2020 ornament. Also known as “The Christmas Star,” this traditional holiday plant’s motifs adorn fine crystal discs which are handcrafted in France. The ornaments come in a choice of red or clear crystal and are designed to scintillate beautifully from a branch.
