Both the fēnix 7 series and epix can sync with streaming music providers and push smart notifications. The smartwatches can monitor factors like heart rate, stress level, blood oxygen, body battery, sleep quality, and fitness age—providing instant health reports.

“Since we launched the first fēnix smartwatch ten years ago, we have insisted in our pursuit of innovation and delivered outstanding products for the outdoor enthusiasts that ensure safety and reliability,” Garmin Asia Assistant General Manager Scoppen Lin said in a press release.

Here are all the new features of the Garmin Outdoor Series.

Here Comes The Sun

The fēnix 7 series triples battery life with a patented solar panel, with the fēnix 7X, in particular, being the industry’s first smartwatch with a built-in flashlight.

Memory In Pixel (MIP) technology—1.2-inch, 1.3-inch, and 1.4-inch—powers the series. This equips a wear-resistant, scratch-resistant, and anti-reflective Power Sapphire along with a highly permeable solar panel.

Compared with the previous generation, the fēnix 7 contains enhanced solar cell efficiency and longer battery life.

The solar efficiency has increased by 200% by expanding the panel’s surface and optimizing the solar cell’s configuration and conductive materials. Moreover, the Power Manager function has been upgraded, allowing up to 24 days of battery life under the UltraTrac Mode.

Lastly, the series has over 40 advanced built-in sports modes.

The fēnix 7 smartwatches have five options that retail from P39,695 to P56,795.

Balancing Act

Meanwhile, the epix smartwatches combine improved battery performance with a high-definition touch screen AMOLED display.

The GPS watch supports multisport functions, with over 40 built-in indoor and outdoor sports modes.  These include compatibility with over 42,000 golf course maps and 2,200 ski resorts worldwide.

It wears a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal lens and 45-millimeter lightweight titanium alloy bezel.

The smartwatch can continuously record data for 30 hours under GPS sports mode. Its battery life ranges from 16 to 21 days when the Power Manager function is activated.

The epix smartwatch is available in three options from P50,735 to P56,395.
