For the Spring/Summer 2025 collection, Louis Vuitton’s Nicolas Ghesquière wished to explore the fascinating oxymoron of “soft power.”

His latest designs thrive on contrast, depicting supple structure, lightness and depth, opulence and delicacy.

Tribute to Women

Chanel’s runway show for its latest ready-to-wear collection marked the brand’s return to the Grand Palais after four years.

The show’s theme was all about flying up in the air, with garments like chiffon capes, slit skirts, embroidered transparent shirt dresses, and wide-cut trousers echoing lightness and movement.

According to the maison, this collection is “A tribute to women who freed themselves from the cumbersome gaze of society, just like Gabrielle Chanel. This flight is dedicated to them.”

Joy and Spontaneity

For Versace’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, the brand made joy its driving force. Donatella Versace created designs that were “lighter, fresher, and freer in spirit.” Some of the collection’s recurring motifs include a Medusa cameo print, wild roses, poppies, and waves.

“An appetite for freedom creates an instinctively individual look: thrown on, mismatched, and steeped in the joy of dressing. It is unapologetically positive and authentically Very Versace,” the fashion house stated.

Radical Reduction

“What happens when one takes all the noise away? Is it possible to fill an empty white room, commanding attention, without shouting for space?” Loewe’s Jonathan Anderson muses.

Through this collection, he answers the questions by reducing his designs until only the silhouette remains. This concept brings the focus to the clothes’ lines and construction.

Playful Imaginations

“As a kid, there is the adventure of the everyday—there’s a feeling that anything could happen, no matter how fantastical, and we are not so bound by regular expectations and conventions,” says Bottega Veneta creative director Matthieu Blazy.

Through his imagination, the brand’s Summer 2025 collection represents a coming-of-age journey through sincerity, playfulness, and chic awkwardness, as if the youthful characters are discovering who they are through clothing and accessories.

Adventures in the Summertime

Burberry’s Summer 2025 collection is grounded in easy elements and inspired by the outdoors, as summer is the perfect season for adventures.

The collection features capes and parkas for protection, sun-bleached fabrics, and cropped rainwear, both in cheerful colors and neutral tones.

Prioritizing premium materials and sophisticated craftsmanship, the relaxed wardrobe embodies timeless elegance and discreet luxury.

Irreverent Energy

Bally’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, titled “Counterpoint 3,” recalls the origins of the Dada artistic movement in Zurich.

“Dadaism bypassed the normative cognitive process in order to enable a mode of creation rooted in the subconscious,” says recording artist Aisha Devi, who created a bespoke soundtrack for the runway show.

Inspired by the avant-garde movement, creative director Simone Bellotti made use of sculptural tailoring, floral prints, and fine leathers.
