Global superstar Taylor Swift will soon wrap up her hugely successful world tour, already hinting at her next endeavor.
As Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour will soon come to a close, her new book takes a look back at all the show-stopping moments from the shows.
The 256-page The Eras Tour Book, released on November 29, is available exclusively at Target. A commemoration to the singer’s biggest tour to date, the book is filled with hundreds of never-before-seen pictures such as behind-the-scenes images of costumes and sets.
The book is also filled with Swift’s own personal anecdotes, as she reflects on her nearly 20-month-long world tour.

“I’ll never forget the call when I explained my idea of the concept for The Eras Tour to my team,” she wrote in a letter dedicated to her devoted fans. “At the time, I was working on the Midnights album and if we were to do what I’ve always done, I would’ve embarked on planning The Midnights Tour. But there’s nothing I hate more than doing what I’ve always done.”
The last time she hit the road on a world tour was in 2018, for her Reputation album. Since then, she’s released four brand new records and four out of six of her Taylor’s Version re-recorded albums.
“And so, the new albums and my re-records left me with the dilemma: HOW on Earth are we going to play all of this music live?” Swift questioned. Then the idea “to create the longest, most ambitious show” she’d ever attempted was born.
Looking Back on The Eras Tour
Each show of The Eras Tour lasts three hours and 15 minutes on average, with Swift performing around 45 songs across 11 eras. It initially included only 10 albums, before The Tortured Poets Department was released this year.
“My goal was for every fan to leave that show knowing I gave them absolutely everything I had. I made a promise to myself to be physically and mentally tougher than I ever had been before,” she continued in her letter.
“Thankfully, I’m surrounded by my incredible crew, band, singers, and dancers who all matched my dedication to the massive scale and challenges of this show.”
Across over a hundred performances, Swift and her team have had to endure bad weather, health issues, and even “a broken heart.” They pushed through all these obstacles to give fans “an escape from how brutal life can be.” Swift added, “It is the honor of a lifetime to be that for them, if only for a night.”
“And although we are all on our own in this big scary life, somehow it doesn’t feel that way when we’re singing the same words as 80,000 other people wearing glittery face paint. We do it because life comes in waves, in phases, in brilliant flurries of magical moments, and all of these things come together to create… Eras.”
Swift finishes her letter about her “beloved Eras Tour” writing, “See you next era…” The last line is printed in her own handwriting, with her iconic signature at the bottom.
The book will be available for international fans starting December 7. Meanwhile, The Eras Tour will be coming to a close with Swift’s final shows in Vancouver, from December 6 to 8.
Fans hope that she will end this extraordinary chapter of her life with a huge announcement. Whether it’s album number 12 or her final two re-recorded albums, Reputation (Taylor’s Version) and Taylor Swift (Taylor’s Version), we’ll just have to wait and see.
