Even if you haven’t caught a single episode of the reality show RuPaul’s Drag Race, you undoubtedly recognize that name. RuPaul soared to global stardom back in the 90s as a drag queen, captivating audiences worldwide. 

On his show, he also played a vital role in educating the LGBTQ+ community and making it oh-so-fabulous!

Cher has been an absolute legend throughout her career. Her over-the-top fashion sense has served as a major inspiration for countless drag queens. But her involvement in the cause kicked into high gear when her son, Chaz, started his journey of transitioning from female to male. 

While Cher was not initially accustomed to the concept of the transgender identity, she did her best to understand and support her only child. 

“You have one child, but you don’t really lose them — they just are in a different shape,” she shared in a CNN interview with Christiane Amanpour.
