Fair Trade
This year’s meaningful event focuses on supporting small, responsible enterprises and empowering women through mindful shopping, with the theme “Females for Fair Trade.”
The fair trade model ensures that the products you purchase provide a fairer deal for farmers and workers in developing countries. The trade model also prioritizes improved working conditions and environmental sustainability.
More than just an event, the fair also embodies a movement towards sustainable and conscious consumerism while underscoring the commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs and artisans from around the globe.
At the fair, products from countries such as Mexico, Morocco, India, Vietnam, Thailand, and more will be featured as well.
Proceeds from the event will help fund projects of the Zonta Club of Makati and Environs (ZCME). The ZCME is the longest-running Philippine chapter of Zonta International, a global organization working to advance the status of women in the society.
Fair Highlights
The FilipinaZ Fair highlights some of its special collaborations this year, encompassing art, fashion, and food.
Honoring the legacy of Tiny Nuyda through a partnership with his estate, a limited-edition series of art plates will be offered at the fair, as launched in last year’s Art Program.
Meanwhile, Fundacion Sanso will also be offering limited-edition Juvenal Sanso ceramic plates at the event for guests to purchase and collect.
Kababaihan, one of ZCME’s livelihood programs, features handmade hand and dish soaps crafted by the women of Taguig.
As part of the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Project ARTE, female Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) have produced limited designs for women’s bags to be featured at the event as well.
As a tribute exhibit to legendary fashion designer Pitoy Moreno, guests may encounter the works of over 99 exhibitors. There will also be a tribute to Women in Design and a grant for Young Women in Design.
Last but not least, acclaimed chef Margarita Fores has also collaborated with the fair for an exclusive pop-up.
“By attending the FilipinaZ Fair, participants are not only indulging in a unique shopping experience but are also becoming part of a larger movement advocating for fairness, equality, and empowerment,” the event’s organizers state.
