Cillian Murphy gained fame for his portrayal of gangster Thomas “Tommy” Shelby in the hit BBC and Netflix series Peaky Blinders.

Murphy began his career as a theater performer before transitioning to film and television, according to Biography

His theater career started in the summer of 1996 when he was 20. He auditioned for and earned one of the lead roles in Disco Pigs. 

Upon receiving the script, it was the first play he had read outside school productions. “That’s how theater illiterate I was,” Murphy told The Irish Times. 

Murphy gained widespread recognition with his starring role in the 2002 horror film 28 Days Later, directed by Danny Boyle.

From then on, Murphy’s fame soared. He and Christopher Nolan collaborated on numerous films. 

With the 2023 release of Oppenheimer, Murphy has now appeared in six of Nolan’s films. This started with Batman Begins, the first of the acclaimed Dark Knight trilogy, in 2005.

WWD reported that Murphy debuted as the face of Versace’s inaugural collection for men, marking another milestone in his career.

Jacob Elordi, born in Brisbane, Australia, has made a name for himself in Hollywood. 

He’s known for his roles in Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn, the hit The Kissing Booth, and the acclaimed drama series Euphoria. He began his acting career in theater according to IMDb.

Elordi became a teen heartthrob through his role in The Kissing Booth. His critically acclaimed performance in Euphoria solidified his reputation as one of Hollywood’s most promising young actors, according to Capital FM.

Despite not being from the US, Elordi actively participates in important activism. He joined the March for Our Lives protest in 2018 and has consistently supported the Black Lives Matter movement.

His mother’s a dancer and actress; his father worked at UNICEF, and his sister, Pauline, is a ballerina and an actress.

Both received their first Golden Globe nominations in 2017. Chalamet also briefly attended Columbia University.

His breakout year came in 2017 with supporting roles in Lady Bird, and a leading role as Elio in Call Me by Your Name. 

His portrayal of Elio earned him critical acclaim and nominations for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor.

In 2019, he headlined the Woody Allen comedy A Rainy Day in New York, played King Henry V in The King, and appeared as Laurie in Greta Gerwig’s Little Women.

Recently, Chalamet starred as Willy Wonka in Wonka and reprised his role as Paul Atreides in Dune: Part Two, according to Biography.
