The collection is Supreme’s first collaboration with Tremaine Emory, its new creative director, at its helm.
On Tuesday, Supreme and Burberry confirmed that the social media rumors about a possible collaboration are true. Both brands have released images of the joint collection, highlighting Burberry’s use of gabardine fabric.
When the British house was founded in 1856, its mission was to protect people from the weather. Now, they bring the same idea to New York brand Supreme, whose customers would appreciate protection while skateboarding, too.
It’s the first major project Supreme has released with Tremaine Emory as its creative director. Emory, who founded Denim Tears, was appointed just last month. It was an important decision given VF Corp acquired supreme.
New head designer
Fans worried that the high-end streetwear brand would lose its exclusivity as the fashion conglomerate owns Vans and Timberland’s mass-market labels. But by tapping Emory, whose brand is favored by Ye and A$AP Nast, it seems that Supreme is in good hands.
While for Burberry’s creative director Riccardo Tisci, this isn’t his first time working with a brand armed with a cult following. The Italian designer has had a long-spanning relationship with NikeLab. In 2017, he reimagined on-and-off court basketball style with the fictional team Victorious Minotaurs.
A year later, Tisci updated the collection with a new release collaborating with the NBA.

Now, the new joint project merges Burberry’s well-known “nova check,” originally designed by Thomas Burberry when it was founded 166 years ago.
The new Burberry x Supreme collaboration will be available on March 10th. It consists of men’s and womenswear with a trench coat, down puffer jacket, denim trucker jacket, hooded sweatshirt, jeans, denim shorts, t-shirt, silk pajamas, 6-Panel, and a skateboard.
