“Serpenti Through the Eyes of Ambush” is the latest chapter of Bvlgari’s collaboration with international tastemakers. Yoon Ahn, the Korean-American designer and co-founder of Japanese jewelry brand Ambush, grew up surrounded by different cultures, which helped mold her mind and introduce her to diverse creativity. Famed for her creations inspired by realism and a luxurious touch, Yoon challenged herself with this venture with Bvlgari. “For this capsule collection I wanted to express the bold and contemporary character of Serpenti. Snakes are wondrous and fascinating creatures of nature but with Bvlgari they also became a symbol of glamour in constant evolution. Natural beauty meets human creation, all guided by a contemporary aesthetic,” she says.

Vibrant colors, with sensually soft shapes that bring to mind the snake’s innate beauty and a contemporary cool design sensibility were the core focus of Yoon’s vision for this collection. Referencing the Tree Python of South East Asia with its striking colors and fascinating movements, Yoon produced three new styles: the Serpenti shoulder bag, the Serpenti belt bag and the Serpenti Minaudière.

The Serpenti shoulder bag features a top handle with a soft quilted body in Nappa Leather, perfect for everyday wear but also complimentary to luxurious moments. Bringing to mind the voluptuous look of the snake with a curvilinear look, the accentuated shapes and chunky metallic details combine for an avant-garde touch. The top handle and the shoulder strap ensuring different styling options, the bag is a versatile choice and comes in shades of black, bright blue, purple and bright green.

The Serpenti belt bag comes in the same vibrant color palette. This must-have piece has infinite styling possibilities, and allows for multiple looks from day to night. Endowed with a removable belt and detachable shoulder strap, the bag can be worn around the waist, as a cross body or a shoulder bag.

The Serpenti minaudière is shaped in a heart, recalling the coiled look that snakes can take in their natural habitat. The two colors in black Nappa Leather and one in aluminium make the purse the ultimate evening accessory.

Each style in the Ambush x Bvlgari collection comes with the iconic snakehead closure, this time camouflaged and dressed in matching Nappa Leather for a mono-chromatic look with eyes in mother-of-pearl for the black versions, and black onyx for the colored pieces. This classic symbol of the brand is refreshed with a contemporary twist.

To round up the collection is an array of accessories: a heart-shaped coin purse, credit card holders with the Bvlgari x Ambush logo and a Serpenti bracelet in colored Nappa Leather with a metallic snakehead.

“To collaborate with a young powerful woman like Yoon is for Bvlgari an incredibly inspiring experience. The visionary designer has reimagined our icon of glamour Serpenti with her unbridled creative approach achieving an entirely unexpected result. Once more, the Bvlgari snake amazes and surprises,” says Mireia Lopez Montoya, Bvlgari Accessory Unit Managing Director
