Here’s where you can invest large amounts of money up to $1 million, based on the cross-sectoral advice of experts.

Where to invest

Bokeh Capital Partners chief investment officer Kim Forrest likes US stocks since they’re liquid. They also prefer above a billion-dollar market cap since their managements are generally “a little more solid.”

“In most cases, if you have a billion in market cap, you’re not 100 percent in the US—you have a more geographically spread-out revenue stream,” Forrest said.

Global X ETFs chief executive officer Luis Berruga particularly found compelling blockchain, cybersecurity, and uranium. They cited the increased digitalization of the economy and the growing demand for clean energy.

“Blockchain technology is upending many traditional areas of finance. And institutional investors are increasingly showing interest due to its many valuable use-cases beyond cryptocurrencies,” Berruga said.

Meanwhile, Invesco senior client portfolio manager Stephanie Larosiliere believes clean water technologies benefiting developing countries should be of interest.

“I believe this should be an area of interest for investors looking to align their investments with their values,” Larosiliere said.

Vox Capital partner Gabriela Chagas similarly suggests investing in assets that can help reduce inequality.
