High profile personalities graced “The Eras Tour” in London with their attendance–even certain royals were present at the first Wembley Stadium show.
Taylor Swift takes the Wembley Stadium’s stage at The Eras Tour in London! About 90,000 fans attended her shows, which ran from June 21 to 23. Her first concert in the city, however, has proved to be extra special due to the attendance of high-profile personalities, which included both celebrities, athletes, and even the heir to the British throne himself, Prince William, and his two children, Princess Charlotte and Prince George.
These prominent figures added another dose of excitement to the electrifying atmosphere of the first night of the London shows. They may be almost as famous as Swift, but they are much like the public, too, who swoon over their favorite artists.
Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte
British heir to the throne Prince William celebrated his birthday on June 21 with Prince George and Princess Charlotte at The Eras Tour in London. The public witnessed the royal dancing to “Shake It Off” during the 1989 set of the concert.
Swift posted a photo of her with the royals and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, on Instagram after the show. The official account of the Prince and Princess of Wales also released a selfie with the “Fortnight” singer and thanked her for a great evening.
“Happy birthday, M8!” Swift said, with “M8” being short for “mate.” “London shows are off to a splendid start.”
Princess of Wales Kate Middleton and her and the Prince’s youngest child, Louis, did not attend the show. Instead, she posted a birthday greeting for her husband. “Happy birthday Papa, we all love you so much!” she expressed, as she signed the post with “Cx.”
Buckingham Palace also paid tribute to Swift’s Wembley Stadium shows. The Royal Corps of Army Music played “Shake It Off” at the Changing Of The Guard ceremony ahead of the first night of Swift’s shows.
Stella McCartney
Fashion designer Stella McCartney attended nights one and two of The Eras Tour in London. She posted stories on Instagram showing her excitement in attending the concert. A report from Us Weekly mentioned she brought custom Ivory Flour Cakes for Swift captioned, “Let’s Stellabrate tonight, @taylorswift!!!”
McCartney’s name is mentioned in Swift’s song, “London Boy.” The pair have collaborated for numerous projects, including one-off sustainable pieces that the singer wore in her folklore and evermore album covers.
Louis Tomlinson
Former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson also went to Swift’s show at Wembley Stadium on June 21. Photos of him walking next to Prince William circulated, which he also posted on his Instagram story after the show.
A star-studded VIP tent
It was rather an eventful evening for celebrities in attendance as well! Jonathan Van Ness, a grooming expert who rose to fame through Queer Eye, went to Swift’s first Wembley show. He was situated at the VIP tent with his husband, Mark Peacock, Camilla Valerie, Nicola Coughlan, Salma Hayek, Leslie Mann, and Cara Delevigne. Van Ness also documented footage where they sang along to Swift’s “You Need To Calm Down,” “Style,” and “Marjorie.”
Former Philadelphia Eagles’ Jason Kelce and his wife, Kylie, also graced the first London show with their attendance. Travis, Jason’s brother and Swift’s boyfriend, were also seen in Van Ness’ photos.
Other celebrities
Meanwhile, Top Gun actor Tom Cruise attended the second night of The Eras Tour in London. He was with Travis in the VIP tent and exchanged bracelets with Swifties.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’ Rachel Zegler also attended the June 22 show. She showed off the friendship bracelets she got to exchange with fans and friends on X, formerly Twitter. “Thank you to everyone for my bracelets,” the actress remarked. “And for dancing and singing with me.”
The second night of Eras Tour in London proved to be star-studded, too. Among those in attendance are Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, and their children; Greta Gerwig and her daughter; Emilia Clarke; Liam Hemsworth; Theo James; Hugh Grant; and the Kelce brothers with Kylie, among others.
Gracie Abrams, Sophie Turner, Bon Jovi, Ellie Goulding, and Cate Blanchett were among the celebrities at the third show in Wembley Stadium. Even Paul McCartney was present and seen dancing to “But Daddy I Love Him.” Travis was not only in attendance once more. He had also taken the stage with Swift and her dancers Kam Saunders and Jan Ravnik before “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart.”
Swift will return to London on August 15 to 17 and 19 to 20.
