The highly anticipated Barbie film is set to premiere on July 21, and pink has been on the minds of many Barbie lovers since photos of Margot Robbie in the role of the iconic Mattel doll were first seen in public.

What makes a modern-day Barbie?

While the upcoming Barbie movie has made many fans channel the “Let’s go Barbie” attitude recently, Barbiecore has been on the rise for the past few years, we just didn’t call it that.

Valentino also had an entirely hot pink runway show, so name your favorite celebrity right now and chances are they’ve worn Valentino’s Barbie pink in the last few months. Gigi Hadid, Florence Pugh, Conan Gray, Billy Porter, Anne Hathaway, and Dua Lipa are among the list of celebrities embracing the viral trend.

There’s simply one color that encapsulates the essence of Barbiecore and that is—you guessed it—pink!

Above all, Barbiecore is all about confidence. Wearing a full hot pink outfit is a great way to show the world that you’re bold, fashionable, and just as hot as the color you’re wearing. So wear it with confidence!
