Drawing upon the creative vision of revered Tiffany & Co. designer Jean Schlumberger, exceptional and extraordinary jewels marry classic Hollywood sophistication with modernity and artistry.
This is an excerpt from Lifestyle Asia’s November 2023 Issue.
Having elevated jewelry design to unprecedented heights, Jean Schlumberger’s tenure at Tiffany & Co. was one that was filled with iconic masterpieces that are still talked about today.
His oeuvre was touched by an almost magical realism. He tamed the wildness of nature and transformed them into glistening creations. The designer birthed birds, exotic flowers, and fantastical sea creatures out of precious metals and stone.

Women like Jackie Kennedy Onassis and Elizabeth Taylor were ardent admirers of his enchanting concoctions, as he held court at his salon, accessible via private elevator at the Tiffany & Co. flagship on Fifth Avenue up until his retirement in the 1970s.
Born into a prominent family of textile manufacturers in France, the gifted designer had also drawn inspiration from his roots. He often rendered ribbons, ropes, and tassels in gemstones and gold.
One such memorable piece is the Sixteen Stone diamond ring. The piece intersperses diamonds with a delicate knot motif. It is now also fondly part of the Schlumberger by Tiffany & Co. collection.
The elegant diamond parure is complemented with the Ninety-two Stone necklace and the Rope Two-row ring. The brand’s new ambassador, Anya Taylor-Joy, also models a matching bracelet and earrings. “The House has such a long-standing history for its design and craftsmanship, and I am excited to be a part of their exceptional legacy,” shares Taylor-Joy.
