The holiday season may be over, but it’s never too late to go on an extended vacation or too early to start planning your next trip.
Filipino passport holders can travel to over 30 countries without a visa, while several others provide a visa upon arrival.
Here are some popular visa-free destinations that are only a quick plane ride away.
Hong Kong
The Hong Kong government has recently lifted many control measures for inbound travelers. You’ll no longer need to take a PCR test upon arrival. Instead, visitors will only need to show their negative PCR or RAT results conducted before their flight.
Vaccine passes and mandatory quarantine for COVID close contacts have also been dropped. There are no more restrictions for public gatherings and restaurant capacities. Only face masks are still required.
According to Dr. Pang Yiu-kai, Chairman of the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), “The new measures mark a key milestone for tourism revival and the full reopening of the tourism doors of Hong Kong. Visitors can now fully enjoy Hong Kong’s diverse offerings once they arrive in town.”

Indonesia
As long as travelers have been fully vaccinated, they’ll have no problem enjoying their time in Indonesia. Just remember to bring your proof of vaccination.
Visitors can stay up to 30 days visa-free and they also have the option to get a visa upon arrival to extend their stay for an additional 30 days.
Singapore
Filipino passport holders can also enjoy their stay in Singapore for 30 days without a visa.
If you are fully vaccinated, there’ll be no need for pre-departure tests, on-arrival tests, or quarantine. You’ll just need to submit an SG Arrival Card and e-health declaration before your arrival.
Taiwan
Starting last September 2022, Taiwan has reopened visa-free travel for Filipinos. Visitors can spend 14 days on the island without a visa.
Since October last year, mandatory quarantine has been lifted. Travelers will be given four rapid antigen test kits so they can monitor themselves, but they are free to explore Taiwan as soon as they arrive.
Peiyung Hsu, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines representative, says that “We wholeheartedly welcome more Filipino friends to visit, eat, and do shopping in Taiwan. I believe you will find it one of the safest, most interesting and hospitable destinations in the world.”
Thailand
As of January 2023, visitors are no longer required to present proof of vaccination or negative COVID test results. There’s also no need for a Thailand Pass, Certificate of Entry (COE), or any mobile app.
For Filipino passport holders, they can enjoy their stay in Thailand for 45 days visa-free until March 31, 2023.
