In an exclusive interview with Lifestyle Asia, we asked how three trailblazers are setting the stage for 2025.
We have experienced a lot in 2024, from trials and tribulations to triumphs and victories. It may sometimes feel overwhelming to look back on everything that has happened in the past year; however, reflecting is a welcomed purposeful act. As we usher in a new year, it is also the perfect time to make room and welcome the energies of growth, renewal, and possibility into your space.

Making space for new opportunities, ideals, and experiences also means welcoming a new era into your life. On the other hand, holding space is about being fully present—physically, mentally, and emotionally—for what has come and what is yet to come.
In an exclusive one-on-one interview with Lifestyle Asia, Milka Romero, Jolo Estrada, and Emilio Preysler Dizon shared how they are creating room for the new year.
Milka Romero
“For 2025, I strive to stay consistent in setting boundaries which does not limit you but actually creates space for new opportunities and what matters to you. Discipline can be very liberating as well, as you are able to stay true to your priorities and values. This mindset is helpful as I focus to grow and learn more about myself and my community.”

Emilio Preysler Dizon
“For many, the start of the year tends to be a slower period as we ease back into our routines after the holidays. Although I do take time to do this, I like to welcome the new year by also staying productive while still prioritizing time for myself and my loved ones.
I start my mornings early with exercise, get a head start on work and upcoming art exhibitions, and explore new classes to expand my knowledge. At the same time, I make sure to spend meaningful moments with my family and girlfriend. I believe the start of the year is a pivotal time — it sets the tone and allows you to “design” the habits and routines that will guide you through the months ahead.”

Jolo Estrada
“I look at the new year like I look at design—it’s all about creating space with purpose. I take a step back, think about the bigger picture, and let go of anything that doesn’t fit into the vision I’m working toward. It’s less about perfection and more about making room for inspiration and fresh ideas to flow.”

“For me, it’s about asking: ‘What story do I want to tell this year? Which parts of my life need more balance, more energy, and more attention? How can I open myself up to growth, new collaborations, and creativity that pushes boundaries?’
The new year is a reset—a chance to reimagine not just my goals, but how I live and create every day. It’s about designing a life that not only feels authentic but also allows me to keep evolving, creating, and thriving in ways that inspire myself and others.”
