Gucci Puts A Fine Jewelry Spin On The Horsebit

By

Gucci gives its iconic Horsebit motif a new chapter with a fine jewelry and watch collection spanning diamond-set necklaces, rings, bracelets, bangles, and timepieces.

For Gucci, the Horsebit has always been more than an equestrian reference. First sketched in an artisan’s notebook in the late 1940s, the emblem has since appeared across the House’s accessories, loafers, watches, and fine jewelry. Now, Gucci brings the motif into a new campaign for its latest Horsebit fine jewelry and watch collection.

Gucci’s New Take On The Horsebit

The collection reworks the familiar Horsebit into a selection of fine jewelry pieces that balance its equestrian roots with a more sculptural approach. Necklaces include a yellow gold chain design and small and large pendant styles in yellow or white gold, each illuminated with diamonds. The Horsebit motif also takes shape in contrarié rings, crafted in yellow gold and set with diamonds.

For the wrist, the collection pairs a diamond-set yellow gold chain bracelet with sculptural bangles available in two sizes. One features diamond-set yellow gold, while another takes a more streamlined approach in yellow gold. Completing the selection is a Horsebit watch with a steel chain bracelet and a silver dial.

From Equestrian Motif To House Icon

The Horsebit’s story stretches back to the end of the 1940s, when the motif was first drawn by a Gucci artisan. By the 1950s, it had found its way onto the House’s accessories and iconic loafers, followed by bracelets and watches in the 1970s. The Gucci Horsebit fine jewelry collection officially debuted in 2004.

The latest collection adds another chapter to the emblem’s story, bringing its equestrian origins into a contemporary selection of jewelry and timepieces.
