Get ready for all that jazz as the Tony Award-winning musical graces The Theatre at Solaire stage next year with its legendary songs, sensational choreography, and signature razzle dazzle.
Manila is getting ready for all that jazz once again. This March 2027, GMG Productions, in association with Barry & Fran Weissler and David Ian, brings Chicago The Musical back to Manila for a limited run from March 9 to 28, 2027, at The Theatre at Solaire, giving audiences another chance to experience Broadway’s longest-running American musical live on stage.
More than a decade after its 2014 Manila run, Chicago returns to the same stage where it first opened in the Philippines. Now celebrating 30 years on Broadway, the Tony Award-winning musical has played more than 11,700 performances, reached 38 countries and more than 525 cities, and been seen by over 35 million people worldwide.

A Broadway Classic Returns To The Manila Stage
“Chicago is one of those extraordinary shows that never goes out of style. It’s sexy, sophisticated, provocative and wickedly funny, with incredible music, iconic Bob Fosse choreography, and a story of fame, ambition, scandal, and celebrity that remains as relevant as ever,” shares GMG Productions CEO Carlos Candal in a statement.

Barry Weissler, producer of CHICAGO The Musical, also looks back on the show’s first Manila staging and its return to the venue. “It was such an honor to be chosen as the inaugural production at the grand opening of the Theatre at Solaire back in 2014, so for Chicago to return to Manila next year and take that same stage again is a real homecoming,” he shares.
“We’re delighted to announce the return of Chicago to the Theatre at Solaire in March 2027 as part of its red hot 30th Anniversary global tour,” adds David Ian, Co-Producer of Crossroads Live. “Our incredible company can’t wait to perform Chicago in Manila, home of such an enthusiastic musical theatre audience. Get ready to paint the town!”
