Michelin Guide Manila and Environs & Cebu 2027: What You Need To Know

By

The second Philippine edition of the Michelin Guide recognizes 10 Michelin-Starred restaurants, 31 Bib Gourmand establishments, and 86 Michelin-Selected dining destinations, reflecting country’s thriving culinary scene.

The Philippine dining scene is as strong and dynamic as ever, and all the proof you need is what went down at the second edition of the Michelin Guide 2027 for Manila and Environs & Cebu—unveiled at the Michelin Guide Restaurant Ceremony at the Manila Marriott Hotel, Newport World Resorts. 127 establishments earned a place in the 2027 selection, among them are 10 Michelin-Starred restaurants, 31 Bib Gourmand establishments, and 86 Michelin-Selected restaurants.

This year’s selection welcomes FLOW in Makati as the sole, new One recipient, while all previously awarded starred restaurants successfully retain their distinctions.

The list also includes eight new Bib Gourmand establishments, two promotions, and 18 new Michelin-Selected restaurants. Four Special Awards recognize individuals whose work contributes to the country’s dining and hospitality landscape, including the introduction of the Michelin Opening of the Year Award in the Philippines.

The 2027 selection shows us a self-assured dining scene that’s proud of its culinary identity. Across Manila, Cebu, Pampanga, and Cavite, chefs are drawing on local ingredients, regional traditions, and the stories behind Filipino food. Filipino cuisine accounts for nearly 60% of newly selected establishments, pointing to a renewed appreciation for the country’s own culinary heritage. As Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the Michelin Guide, observes, the country’s chefs are finding fresh ways to express local ingredients, traditions, and regional flavors while remaining connected to where they came from.

Helm Retains Its Two Michelin Stars

At the top of this year’s selection, Helm in Makati retains its Two Michelin Stars, reaffirming its standing among the country’s most distinguished dining destinations. Led by Chef Josh Boutwood, the restaurant is informed by his half-British and half-Filipino sensibilities, as well as his Spanish influences, to create precise seasonal menus of bold flavors and meticulous presentation. Its constantly evolving approach to cooking is complemented by an open-kitchen setting and professional service.
