Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila is creating a gastronomic feast for Valentine’s Day (February 14, 2019) that infuses love with the rich flavors of chocolate. Spiral’s “Melt with Me” will boast a wide array of chocolate-infused dishes by the buffet’s talented master chefs.

An Unconventional Valentine’s Day
Lifestyle Asia was present during the preview of the upcoming culinary event. Although unconventional, the dishes crafted are exciting and truly showcases the magic of chocolate. Available on February 14, lunch rates begin at PHP 3,000 nett per person, while dinner is priced at PHP 4,500 nett per person. Each of Spiral’s seven dining ateliers have prepared unique dishes with chocolate as its star ingredient.
For instance, the Japanese atelier has prepared Takoyaki balls served with chocolate mayonnaise sauce. Sushi rolls get a sweet twist through the newly conceptualized Dragon Roll, which is stuffed with avocado chocolate and mayonnaise sauce.
The Beef Prime Rib will be dressed with balsamic chocolate sauce at the Churrasco Atelier. Chicken Adobo at the Filipino atelier will now be “Chicken Adobolate”. It is an interesting take on the classic Filipino dish, incorporating chocolate ingredients in its sauce. True to Filipino cuisine, it is the ideal blend of both savory and sweet.
Other notable dishes in Sofitel’s Melt with Me buffet is the tender grilled pork belly infused with a chocolate marinade. The Thai Atelier will be serving Seared Beef Fillet in chocolate chili sauce. Meanwhile, many are anticipating the offerings over at the French Atelier. The Pumpkin filled Chocolate Ravioli with Sage brown butter and Strawberry, Banana, Chocolate Pizza are sure to be crowd pleasers.
Say “I Love You” with Chocolate
The dessert section of Sofitel’s sprawling buffet will surely step up their game for this chocolate-themed affair. Some dishes we’re looking most forward to indulging in includes the Choco Chili Brownie Tart, Moist Red Velvet Cake, Chocolate Pavlova with Strawberry Cream, Bailey’s and Coffee Cheesecake and Chocolate Peanut Butter pie with Guava jelly.
In addition, Spiral’s Master Chocolatiers have also prepared special pralines infused with strawberry, raspberry or citrus, available at the buffet’s 2 Go counter. Say “I Love You” in chocolate praline block letters or a giant heart-shaped case with chocolate inside to celebrate your big day with your special someone.
