Ramen Ron and The Matcha Tokyo Philippines team up for a limited-edition dessert menu, available exclusively at Ramen Ron’s BGC and Rockwell branches until November 30, 2026.
Ramen Ron is reminding us to save some room after the ramen. Its latest collaboration with The Matcha Tokyo Philippines gives diners four new reasons to do so. From October 28 to November 30, 2026, the two brands are serving the Matcha & Hojicha Series, a limited-edition menu that translates Japanese tea into the dessert course. Developed by AF Hospitality Pastry Innovation Chef Chico Orcine, with guidance from Chef Sonny Mariano of The Matcha Tokyo Philippines, the collection comprises three desserts and one drink.

Ramen Ron x The Matcha Tokyo Philippines: What’s On The Menu?
The Japanese pudding comes topped with a silky matcha custard sauce, with a double dose of custard for those who believe there’s no such thing as too much. The hojicha mochi takes a chewier approach, wrapping a soft exterior around a mascarpone and hojicha filling. For something more elaborate, the Matcha Chestnut Mont Blanc layers Ramen Ron’s milk soft serve with delicate meringue, salted crumble, matcha chocolate sauce, and matcha chestnut cream. The menu’s wildcard is the matcha watermelon shake, a fruit-forward drink finished with a swirl of matcha sweet cream.

It’s something we share at Ramen Ron, where tradition and craftsmanship are at the heart of what we do,” he says.
Full-Circle Recipes
The collaboration also brings Orcine back to where his culinary career began. Before joining AF Hospitality, the chef started out with Tasteless Food Group, the company behind The Matcha Tokyo Philippines. Working with both teams again gives the project a personal significance, while allowing him to draw on the experience he gained along the way. “These desserts reflect my growth as a chef and the creativity and craftsmanship I’ve learned from both teams,” he says.
For Charles Paw of Tasteless Food Group, the menu presents an opportunity to introduce matcha and hojicha in forms that extend beyond their usual drinks. Their versatility, he says, makes them natural ingredients to explore in the kitchen, particularly when working with a team that shares the same appreciation for quality.
