Dolly Parton’s influences and early musical promise
Female pioneers in country music inspired Parton’s reputation in the industry. Rose Maddox and Molly O’Day of the 1940s, Kitty Wells of the 1950s, and Brenda Lee and Patsy Cline of the 1960s became Parton’s musical muses.

Parton’s exceptional talent shows in her powerful vocal ability as well. She tells stories with developed narratives combined with her trademark humor, giving further charm to her version of country music.
