Since the festival release of the Cannes-winning Triangle of Sadness, de Leon has received critical acclaim for her supporting performance.
She has also been making global headlines, effectively boosting her Oscar campaign for Best Supporting Actress.
Although an Academy feature does not guarantee a win or even a nomination, it serves as a pre-season nod that they know exactly who Dolly de Leon is.
The Oscars Nominations Announcement will take place on January 24, 2023. Meanwhile, the 95th Oscars ceremony will happen on March 12, 2023.
