The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra Announces Its New Concert Season

Titled MODULATIO, the eight-concert season runs from September 2026 to April 2027 and culminates in the PPO’s return to the rehabilitated CCP Main Theater.

The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra 2026–2027 concert season will take audiences through music from different periods and traditions before ending with a long-awaited homecoming. Titled MODULATIO, the PPO’s 42nd concert season comprises eight performances led by music director and principal conductor Grzegorz Nowak. The orchestra will present celebrated masterpieces alongside contemporary compositions, including world and Philippine premieres.

The season also gathers Filipino and international soloists. Its featured musicians include pianists Martin Garcia García, Mario Galeani, and Natasha Paremski; harpist Vien Ignacio; and violinists Kaycee Galano, Diomedes Saraza Jr., Ju-Young Baek, and Dmytro Udovychenko.

When And Where To Watch The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra 2026-2027 Season

MODULATIO opens with Dacapo on September 25, 2026, at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater.

The rest of the PPO’s new season will unfold as follows:

  • Elegance — October 16, 2026, Metropolitan Theater
  • Bolero — November 6, 2026, Samsung Performing Arts Theater
  • Destiny — December 4, 2026, Samsung Performing Arts Theater
  • Genesis — January 15, 2027, Samsung Performing Arts Theater
  • Resilience — February 12, 2027, Metropolitan Theater
  • Visions — March 12, 2027, Metropolitan Theater
  • Al Fine — April 16, 2027, Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo, CCP Main Theater

All performances begin at 730 PM.

The final concert will mark the PPO’s return to the CCP Main Building, which temporarily closed in 2023 for a three-year rehabilitation. The project was designed to preserve the landmark’s architecture while updating its structural systems and performance facilities and improving accessibility. After presenting its concerts at venues around Metro Manila during the closure, the orchestra will conclude MODULATIO back on its home stage.
