“Hardin” By Raxenne Maniquiz Is A Love Letter To The Filipino Garden

By

Hardin, Raxenne Maniquiz’s collaboration with Thoughts & Ideas, brings flowers, fruit trees, and childhood nostalgia to the writing desk.

For artist Raxenne Maniquiz, a garden is as much a place of memory as it is a place of growth. Her latest collection, Hardin, created in collaboration with stationery brand Thoughts & Ideas, looks back to her childhood in Bulacan, where her grandmother tended orchids and her grandfather planted fruit trees and vegetables. An homage to her family, particularly her grandparents, the collection draws from the familiar pleasures of home.

Hardin: A Garden Of Memories

Known for her richly saturated, painterly illustrations, Raxenne has built a visual language around flora and fauna, often drawing inspiration from species endemic to the Philippines. In Hardin, she turns that fascination toward something more personal, capturing the warmth of family and the particular nostalgia of a garden remembered.

Raxenne has had her art featured in international projects with Assouline, MAC Cosmetics, Penguin Random House, and Rizzoli, to name a few. In 2021, she received the Young Gun award, an international honor recognizing emerging creative talent. With Hardin, she brings that same sensibility to the simple rituals of planning, writing, and collecting little things.

Paper With Purpose

The Hardin collection’s 2027 calendar might be its most charming proposition. Each month comes with perforated pages that can be detached and repurposed as small prints or bookmarks, giving the illustrations a life beyond their original assignment. Her planners also return after a year-long absence, available in six colorways for those who’ve been waiting to get their schedules in order, preferably with a little more color. The collection rounds out its offerings with fruit-shaped coasters, small journals, notepads, stickers, and leather notebook sleeves in three shades.

“Hardin” will be available at TROPA Greenbelt until the end of the year, with online sales through the Thoughts & Ideas website beginning October 30, 2026.
