The new Shokz OpenDots 2 earbuds combine practical features with a design meant to complement everything from workouts to workwear.

Designed To Stay Open

Unlike most wireless earbuds, the OpenDots 2 leaves the ear canal open, so the wearer can move through a commute, a workout, or a crowded café without losing track of what’s happening around them. Shokz designed the earbuds for people whose days switch between registers—from work calls to gym sessions to quiet mornings—as well as those who want one accessory that can follow them through all of it.

Why The Shokz OpenDots 2 Is Built For Everyday Listening

Water and dust resistance make the Shokz OpenDots 2 a fit for Manila’s rainy season as much as a gym bag. On the audio side, Shokz upgraded the drivers, adding DirectPitch technology that steers sound directly into the ear canal and cuts down on the leakage that has long been the trade-off of open-ear listening. Call quality gets a boost from a bone conduction microphone that isolates the wearer’s voice from street noise, and the battery stretches to 40 hours with the charging case.

Shokz sells the OpenDots 2 in three finishes built to double as accessories: a Pearl White with gold detailing, a moonstone-toned Grey, and a Black designed to pair with anything. The colorways underscore how the company is pitching the product as a daily wear item, rather than solely a gadget-something chosen to match an outfit and a workout playlist.

How Wearable Audio Has Become A Fashion Statement

The launch also reflects how audio brands talk about their hardware these days. Where earbuds were once sold on noise cancellation and specs alone, Shokz is embracing design language borrowed from jewelry and fashion, treating the earbud as something worn proudly rather than kept out of sight.

Founded in 2011, Shokz has built its reputation on open-ear audio technology and wireless headphones. Innovee Trading Inc. distributes the brand in the Philippines and sells the OpenDots 2 at Power Mac Center and The Loop stores nationwide, priced at ₱12,990.
