Hopefuls in the 2022 Senate race are spreading their name as much as possible in order to stand a chance in the nationwide popularity contest.

According to Pulse Asia’s December 2021 Nationwide Survey on the May 2022 Elections, nine of the 14 possible winners statistically in the “magic 12” are either current or former members of Congress.
As usual, already familiar names in politics and showbiz dominate the top 24 of the survey.
Since senators in the Philippines are nationally elected just like the president and vice president, candidates must do everything they can to impress prospective voters.
One way is to expand their virtual presence by joining popular social media networks like TikTok, where they can share their advocacies and campaigns.
The short-form video platform reached one billion users as of September 2021, even surpassing Google as the most popular website last year. It was also among the fastest-growing brands in 2020 and 2021.
