Repertory Philippines (REP) will stage the Don Quixote musical Man of La Mancha in a limited four-weekend engagement from June 5 to 28, 2026, at the REP Eastwood Theater. The anticipated production of the seminal classic will be brought to life by celebrated young director Nelsito Gomez, who offers a fresh and creative take on the beloved text.
Starring in the titular role of Alonso Quijano/Don Quixote, a man who refuses to give up on his impossible dream, is celebrated actor Noni Buencamino, known for his versatility across film, television, and theater throughout a decades-long career. In 2025, Buencamino was awarded the Gawad Buhay Award for Best Actor in a Play.

About REP’s Man Of La Mancha
Considered one of the world’s most enduring musicals, Man of La Mancha is a soulful work inspired by Miguel de Cervantes’ novel The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha. It follows a fictionalized version of Cervantes himself, who is thrown into prison and forced to defend himself before his fellow prisoners. In the process, he takes on the persona of Don Quixote, whose relentless pursuit of heroism and chivalry soon touches those around him. The original musical premiered on Broadway in 1965 and won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
Starring alongside Buencamino is a cast of acclaimed Filipino actors, including Katrina Sunga as Aldonza, Mavin Ong as Sancho Panza, Tarek El Tayech as Governor/Innkeeper, Alfredo Reyes as Duke/Carrasco, Mikkie Bradshaw-Volante as Antonia, Sarah Facurias as the Housekeeper, Steven Hotchkiss as Padre, Julio Laforteza as Pedro/Male Dancer, Dippy Arceo as Jose, Jasper Jimenez as Juan/Barber, Ralph Oliva as Paco, Khalil Tambio as Anselmo, Liway Perez as Maria/Female Dancer, Rafa Sumilong as Captain, JV Fulgencio as the Male Swing, and Aly Wijangco as the Female Swing.
