Featuring two iterations of Birkenstocks’ recognizable classics, the Milano and Tokio Mule, each pair retails for $1,100, probably the priciest models that German brand ever made. (For comparison, a regular Milano costs $130, while the latter goes for around $150).

Both styles have two colorway options in black calfskin and felted wool in Dior’s signature gray. According to the Kim Jones helemed luxury house, the pairs pay a subtle tribute to Christian Dior’s passion for gardening—by “combining functionality and elegance.”

Simultaneously, Dior rolls out its CD 1947 capsule. Inspired again by Christian Dior, the brand’s founder, the year 1947 is etched on pieces, the year he launched the house’s first collection known as the “New Look.”

In contrast to New Look’s influence on opulence for women’s fashion, Dior’s new capsule canters on everyday men’s pieces. They’re revised versions of Dior favorites like the Saddle Bag, Safari Messenger Bag, B27 Low-Top Sneaker, and the Lingot 50 Duffle Bag.

Thrown into the mix are casual outerwear through a white and ecru wool and cotton fleece jacket, gray cotton ripstop pants, and cotton socks.

In addition, to further pay homage to Monsieur Dior’s gardening hobby, CD 1947 offers calfskin (of course) gardening sets in either beige or black.
