Headed by Grand Hyatt Manila’s pastry chef, Won Young Jeong, The Lounge is introducing two exceptional afternoon tea offerings: the new Merienda Cena Grand Afternoon Tea menu and the Wings of Spring Afternoon Tea. Crafting each cake, parfait, and pastry, Chef Jeong blends local culinary traditions with global inspirations, aiming to warm the heart with his sweet treats.

Traditional Merienda with a Twist
Starting March 21, 2025, the Merienda Cena Grand Afternoon Tea will be available Fridays to Sundays from 230 PM to 6 PM. The menu features unlimited servings of Filipino-inspired light bites such as bao bun sandwiches filled with Lumpia Sariwa, Pork Asado, and Chicken Adobo, as well as savory dishes such as Kinilaw na Tuna and Shrimp Cocktail.


For those with a sweet tooth, the menu also includes waffles served with Amarena Fabbri compotes, vanilla chantilly, chocolate sauce, and caramel sauce. Traditional homemade plain and raisin scones come with strawberry jam, ube jam, and clotted cream. Enjoy freshly brewed coffee and premium tea blends paired with even more sweet treats, such as the Namelaka Chocolate Parfait and Mango Coconut Parfait.


End your meal with homemade cakes, including the Calamansi Tart with sable, passion caramel, and almond cream; Strawberry Chiffon with fresh strawberries, chantilly, and vanilla sponge; Cheesecake with a graham cracker crust and berry compote; and the decadent Grand Hyatt Manila Chocolate Cake with Maracaibo mousse, hazelnut feuilletine, and dark ganache.


Pricing for the Merienda Cena Grand Afternoon Tea starts at PHP 1,850 net per person for the free-flow food menu, PHP 2,600 net per person for the free-flow food menu with rosé wines, and PHP 3,300 for a two-person Afternoon Tea Set.
The Beauty of Japan’s Spring Season
The Wings of Spring Afternoon Tea is a limited offering available from March 21 to April 27, 2025, on Fridays to Sundays between 230 PM and 600 PM. Inspired by Japanese and Filipino flavors, this exclusive menu includes bao bun sandwiches, grilled tuna, assorted maki rolls, and chirashi sushi.


Embrace the taste of springtime with desserts such as the Cherry Blossom & Yuzu Choux, filled with citrusy yuzu curd and sakura cream; Cherry Blossom Mousse, featuring peach compote and vanilla sponge; Cherry Blossom Cheesecake, with a graham cracker crust and berry compote; and Cherry Blossom Roulade, made with matcha sponge and mixed berry spread.


The Wings of Spring Afternoon Tea is priced at PHP 2,600 net per person, inclusive of free-flow coffee, tea, and a choice of rosé wine or a tea mocktail. For an additional PHP 1,700 net, both the Merienda Cena and Wings of Spring menus also offer homemade Mango Bingsu, a refreshing Korean treat made with shaved ice, condensed milk, fresh mango, and coconut ice cream.
