Opening: House Of Wagyu Stonegrill’s New Flagship Branch At Okada Manila

By

House of Wagyu Stonegrill opens its flagship at Okada Manila, bringing together premium cuts, interactive tableside rituals, and spaces where every meal becomes an occasion.

A visit to the flagship branch of House of Wagyu Stonegrill at Okada Manila begins one floor below the dining room. Guests first arrive at a warm, golden reception before making their way upstairs, where the main dining room opens onto sweeping views of Manila Bay. This sense of arrival and experiential build-up sets up the meal even before a dish is served. It tells you that you’re in for a treat, something special.

“Receiving an invitation from Okada Manila was both an honor and a responsibility,” says founder Corinne Castañeda. “Every restaurant we’ve opened has helped shape House of Wagyu. Opening at Okada Manila allowed us to build on that journey while creating something unique for this remarkable setting.”

After 17 years, the flagship brings together the ideas that have defined House of Wagyu Stonegrill from the beginning: premium ingredients and cuts, warm hospitality, and a dining experience designed to create memories that extend beyond the plate.

Inside House of Wagyu Stonegrill’s New Flagship At Okada Manila

Like every House of Wagyu Stonegrill branch, the flagship was personally designed by Castañeda. Every detail was considered through the eyes of the guest. The goal was a space that encourages conversation, celebration, and the simple pleasure of staying a little longer.

The main dining room makes the most of its setting with its view of Manila Bay. Overhead, the restaurant’s signature undulating ceiling draws inspiration from the rhythm of the sea, while commissioned artworks by Dominik Haring and a sculptural onyx bar continue the experience throughout the space. Classic white tablecloths lend the restaurant the timeless feel of a traditional steakhouse, softened by warm lighting and contemporary details. The flagship also includes several private rooms; among the highlights is the Onyx Room, an intimate lounge.

House of Wagyu Stonegrill Expands Its Signature Dining Experience

The sense of occasion carries through to the meal itself. Several dishes are prepared or finished tableside. A Caesar Salad is tossed from scratch beside the table, Steak Tartare is assembled to order, and Crêpe Suzette arrives with a traditional flambé.

At the center of the experience is House of Wagyu Stonegrill’s signature dining ritual. Premium cuts arrive on a 380°C volcanic stone, allowing guests to finish cooking each bite to their preferred doneness. The flagship also introduces live-fire cooking with a Spanish-built Pira oven, which imparts a gentle smokiness before dishes make their way to the table.

Castañeda says the focus has always remained on the quality of the beef. The restaurant proudly serves certified Saga Wagyu, one of Japan’s most prized beef brands, whose certification plaque is displayed inside the flagship.
