“The Filipino taste bud has evolved with the plethora of food choices around—and we want to show that you can find this same breadth and diversity within liquor,” says Miguel Guerrero, co-founder and CEO of Boozy.ph.

This year’s edition will feature liquor brands from different parts of the globe along with dishes from local food concepts. A total of 12 immersive classes will be done virtually and through food and drink tasting kits over four days.

The classes are as follows: Johnnie Walker x Bolzico Beef to Go; The Singleton x Aperitif; Tanqueray x Pizzulu Pizza; Jacob’s Creek x Malagos Cheese; Jameson x Tipsy Pig; Chivas x Chef Tony’s Popcorn; Barefoot Wine x Casa Buenas of Resorts World Manila; Smirnoff Mule x Burger Beast; So Nice Soju x Seoulmates by Alyssa and Kiefer; Jose Cuervo x Casa Crawford: Modern Mexican Kitchen; Campari x Pantry Italy; and Don Papa x Auro Chocolate.

From every corner

Last year, the series’ theme was “Around the Globe,” and had classes that showcased the origins and different distilleries of local and international liquors.

Besides these tasting and learning experiences, the masterclass attendees will also get to enjoy games, gifts, and exclusive Boozy promo codes after each class.

There will also be two Facebook Live sessions available to all of Boozy.ph’s Facebook followers by Tamnavulin and The Dalmore, which will further explore the gastronomic flavors best paired with the brands’ tasting notes, to be led by their international master blenders and surprise special guests.

The masterclass series will culminate into two events—a special tasting session by Globe followed by a Facebook Live listening party with Kat DJ.

“There are equally as many endless choices to be discovered—whether it’s whisky, wine, beer, gin, rum, tequila, or even soju—and that the experience can be made even better with the perfect food pairing,” Guerrero explains. “Together with our liquor brand and food partners, we hope to showcase this fusion of flavors.”

Boozy Fest: Fusion of Flavors runs from November 17 to 20, 2021.
