“Bird”

Andrea Arnold’s latest project, Bird, is one of the Cannes Film Festival’s coveted motion pictures to debut this month. It stars actors Barry Keoghan, Franz Rogowski, and Nykiya Adams, among others.

It is not literally about birds. Rather, it depicts the fate of a young girl in an English suburb who tries to escape the social fatality that she is tied to. The girl, named Bailey, lives with her brother Hunter and father Bug, who raised them alone in a squat in North Kent. She then looks for attention and adventure elsewhere.

Not much details have been released about the movie at present.
