Après-Court is said to combine creativity, culture, and fashion in a way never seen before during a tournament.
For this year’s French Open in Paris, Lacoste is presenting a series of photos twisting the Roland-Garros collection and other fashionable pieces to celebrate the style and fashion that surrounds the game on and off the court.

Lacoste is coordinating a series of creative photos under the umbrella theme of Après-Court. It is inspired by the idea of Après-Ski, which is a custom that’s arguably bigger than the sport itself. Like it’s winter relative, it aims to bring together a community of tennis fans old and new beyond the court.
Bringing together the rich heritage surrounding both Lacoste and Roland-Garros, Après-Court combines creativity, culture, and fashion in a way never seen before during a tournament.
To be experienced both offline between matches and across Paris and online, the worlds of style and tennis will merge, connecting audiences and bringing communities together in playful and engaging ways. It is all centered around a love of the game and the culture that surrounds it.
In Paris, a few days before the start of Roland Garros, French photographer Alex “Très Cool” Dobe revealed his vision of the Fashion Sport silhouette by putting into motion some memorable pieces from the Roland Garros co-branded lifestyle collection.
Moments of life stolen from the streets of the capital, pieces such as the polo shirt or the referees’ cardigan were mixed with Fashion Sport pieces to celebrate style and tennis culture beyond the Roland-Garros setting.
Lifestyle and performance
The 2022 Roland-Garros collection is an ode to the brand’s sporting heritage. Louise Trotter and her team were inspired by sports clubs and their dress codes to create a very on-point 2022 collection anchored in a sports universe.
The pieces within the lifestyle collection are based on the highlights of the latest Lacoste runway shows. Oversized cuts, cable-knit sweaters, the House coat of arms and stripes, all run through the seams of this Roland-Garros 2022 collection.
On the collar, on the sleeve or at the top of the shorts, the stripes give style and movement to the silhouettes, both on court and off.
The Lacoste 2022 performance silhouette, on the other hand, is designed as a playground, where the two historical territories of the brand, sport and fashion, express themselves in unison. In terms of design, the mesh stripes and the use of laser-cutting bring a futuristic style to the performance silhouette.
In terms of fabrics, Lacoste is already shaping its future by creating new materials. For this 2022 edition, a jacquard mesh has been exclusively created for the on-court outfit of Roland-Garros.
The Lacoste Studio was inspired by the classic jacquard associated with a graphic design by Robert Georges to create this new Engineered Jacquard, a mesh jacquard with different opening points.
For women, the performance outfit of the current world number 6, Anett Kontaveit, shows a shorter back, more bare, more feminine, more fashionable, mixed with pleats for the sports and heritage vibes of the silhouette.
