Since the birth of athleisure, designers have welcomed the merging of sports into style pieces. Fashion enthusiasts need not to only look elegant during workout sessions; they can wear beautiful athletic-inspired pieces outside the gym. Lacoste is among the fashion brands with this sporting heritage. To celebrate the launch of its 2019 Tennis Remix collection, Lacoste hosted a tennis match and fashion show in Rockwell, Makati. Society figures like Amanda Fernandez, Nikki Huang, and Sofia Zobel-Elizalde graced the affair. It was a night of friendly tennis matches among A-list tennis enthusiasts and guests.
Urban tennis playground

To create an elegant space for the thrilling affair, the Rockwell Club’s Tennis Court was transformed into a contemporary tennis playground. Guests enjoyed taking their photographs at the Tennis Infinity Photo Booth. Some opted to try the VR station. It transported the guests back to Lacoste’s rich history of creating elegant, sport-inspired style pieces.

The highlight of the night was the friendly tennis matches among the players like Hanky Lee and Ninay Morales and Ernie Lopez and Christine Sandejas. To witness the thrilling match of mixed doubles, society figures like Nikki Huang with father Anton Huang, Natalia Peña, and Sofia Zobel-Elizalde with her family graced the event. Dressed in their elegant tennis apparel, the guests sipped on cocktails and indulged in hors d’oeuvres. To keep energies up, DJ Samir Ayeb played upbeat music. The social affair definitely celebrated the classic way of merging sports into fashion.
