Marge Organo, who is known for her striking glass creations, will be highlighted in a nine-day exhibit at Galerie Joaquin.

The show, called “Marge Organo: Par Excellence,” is inspired by the interplay of the body and the natural world. The artist’s body of work has always been proclaimed to be deeply personal: be it for family, important life events, or even simply for the emotions they represent.

Organo’s first foray focused on the rudiments of painting. Eventually, she solidified herself as a visual artist, moving into figurative sculpture using resin and bronze as her earlier media.
She then continued to pursue studies in glass sculpture at the prestigious and internationally renowned Studio of the Corning Museum of Glass in New York, where she was awarded a scholarship at her second year of study.

After the artist’s stint at Corning, she was accepted at the Kamenicky Senov, the oldest glass making school in the world located in the Czech Republic. There, she learned glass casting under the tutelage of topnotch Czech artists.
Organo has learned from these leading institutions and from her own practice, continuously honing the craftsmanship and elevating her methods to a masterly extent.

With her the use of such a delicate medium, Organo’s glass sculptures exude strength yet maintains a sense of gracefulness. It represents a world of symbol and myth that is specific to her artistic voice yet accessible with a universal visual vocabulary, generously guiding the viewer on their own unique journey.
Her 32-piece exhibition is about the celebration of life and a testimony to its splendor. Coincidentally, this special exhibit also serves as a momentous event in honor of the her birthday.
